Attire

Ballet:
Ladies – Leotard (see below for color), pink tights, pink ballet shoes.
Hair must be pulled into a bun. Jewelry should be removed before class. Wrap dance sweaters may be worn. No legwarmers, t-shirts, or dance pants are allowed in ballet class.

Leotard Colors:
Creative Movement I and II: White leotard, white skirt
Pre Ballet I and II: White leotard, white skirt
Junior I: Pink leotard
Junior II: Powder blue leotard
Junior III: Navy blue leotard
Junior IV: Lavender (light purple) leotard
Intermediate I: Hunter green leotard
Intermediate II: Red/burgundy leotard
Intermediate III/IV: Plum (dark purple) leotard
Advanced: Black leotard

Gentlemen – white t-shirt and black pants or tights, black ballet shoes

We recommend that all dance wear be purchased at Allegro Dance Boutique, located in Barrington and Evanston. Allegro carries many options that fulfill BDA’s dress code.

Character:
Ladies – Leotard (colors listed above), pink tights, character skirt, and character shoes. The character skirt may be purchased through Amazon. (Please select black and your choice of ribbon color.) Character shoes can be purchased at Allegro Dance Boutique.

Gentlemen – same attire as ballet class

Jazz:
Jazz shoes (optional), fitted Jazz pants/shorts may be worn. No baggy clothing.
